BLEP is a community based organization in Kenya focused on youth empowerment through sports and work education programs.It was established in 2013 and works primarily with youth ages 7-35 years old, as well as women and the elderly.
The vision is to empower Kenyan youth to become better leaders and responsible citizens. The mission is to promote development through sports and work education.Key activities include capacity building, sports coaching, climate change advocacy, project design, gender equality promotion, events organizing, and donor relationship building.
Notable successes include establishing a model farm, training over 60 youth in sustainable agriculture, supporting youth entrepreneurs, environmental conservation efforts, empowering women through table banking, and using sports to engage hundreds of young people.
BLEP has had a tangible impact on the community including inspiring new businesses, reducing pollution, mobilizing youth, renewable energy installation, improved livelihoods, and furthering the climate justice agenda.Partners include schools, local leaders, sports organizations, and international NGOs.The program aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals and Kenya's development plan.
