🌍 Demand Social Justice, Peace, and Reparations with Black Is Back! ✊

The election of Barack Obama as U.S. president did not bring an end to the suffering of our people or the injustices perpetuated by the U.S. worldwide. While trillions of dollars have been handed over to Wall Street and the auto industry, Congress has neglected to address the enduring legacy of slavery for descendants of enslaved Africans.

💔 Legacy of Slavery: Massive home losses resulting from criminal banking practices underscore the ongoing theft of billions of dollars of black community wealth. The suffering is palpable, with daily incidents of police brutality and murder, unjust imprisonment, depression-level unemployment, slave labor in prisons, and disenfranchisement.

👥 Political Prisoners and Injustices: Individuals who dedicated their lives to our freedom during the 1960s still languish in U.S. prisons. Meanwhile, U.S. wars have expanded beyond the African community in the U.S. to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and now pose a threat to Venezuela.

📜 Demands and Action:

• Reparations Now! Pass HR 40: Support the reparations movement to address the historical injustices inflicted on our community.
• Single Payer Health Care/Medicare for All: Advocate for accessible healthcare that serves all members of our community.
• Stop Gentrification, Home Mortgage Foreclosures, Bail-out the victims: Fight against the displacement of our people from their neighborhoods and homes.
• Free Mumia Abu Jamal, Jamil Al-Amin, all US political prisoners/pows/exiles!: Stand against the unjust imprisonment of those who fought for our freedom.
• End Mass Black Incarceration! Count Them Home for Census!: Challenge the systemic issues that contribute to the disproportionate incarceration of Black individuals.
• STOP Police violence, Black Community Containment Policy!: Demand an end to police brutality and unjust containment policies.
• NO! to US wars, occupations, domination, exploitation!: Oppose U.S. military interventions that perpetuate global injustice.
