The mission of the I Choose Life Foundation is to enhance the health and well-being of the African American community by addressing health disparities across multiple interconnected areas, including Cardiovascular disease, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure (hypertension), Mental Health, Lupus, Obesity, Cancers, and STIs. Drawing upon its life-affirming culture, values, and internal resources, the Foundation aims to empower the community by facilitating informed and organized engagement in cooperative healthcare and preventive initiatives. The focus is on making life-affirming choices while rejecting actions and ideas that contribute to health deterioration and mortality.
In collaboration with social, civic, and civil rights organizations, the Black media, and the medical community, the I Choose Life Foundation actively confronts significant interrelated health concerns and inequities affecting the African American community, encompassing Cardiovascular disease, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure (hypertension), Mental Health, Lupus, Obesity, Cancer, and STIs. The Foundation has established a robust, inclusive, and practical cooperative project that unites the African American community with a network of healthcare providers, advocates, activists, community leaders, organizations, clergy, celebrities, governmental allies, individuals directly impacted by these health issues, as well as those who are vulnerable.
