The Council on African Affairs (CAA), active from 1937 to 1955, was one of the first U.S. organizations dedicated to anti-colonialism and Pan-African solidarity. Led by figures such as Paul Robeson, W. E. B. Du Bois, and Alphaeus Hunton, it educated Americans about African liberation struggles and supported the independence movements sweeping the continent.
